Lipodissolve has become accepted as a safe, minimally invasive
injectable alternative to surgical Liposuction throughout the world. It was
introduced to the United States several years age and is gaining in popularity
among American physicians.
The treatment involves a series of small injections used to
sculpt areas where fat is stubborn and will not easily respond to exercise and
diet alone. It is made from the chemical Phosphatidyl Choline, which increases
the rate of cellular fat metabolism, breaking down fat cell membranes and
allowing the fat to be emitted from the tissue and later released from the body
through the kidneys and the digestive tract.
Areas may include fat pads under the eyes, the jaw line, back
of the arms, midsection, and parts of the thighs, including inner thighs,
saddlebags, and around the knees.
Both women and men can benefit from the treatment, The
treatment is contraindicated if a patient is pregnant or nursing. The optimal
patient is active, with small areas of fat, rather than overall weight to lose.
However, people who are overweight may benefit as well. On average, patients
begin to see results after 2-3 treatments, usually spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart,
and see their desired effects after 4 to 10 treatments, depending on their
sensitivity to the Phosphatidyl Choline. Treatments may include from 1 to 8
syringes of Lipodissolve, this is very affordable procedure.
There are no known long-term
systemic side effects of Phosphatidyl Choline, but some patients do
experience transient tacycardia, dizziness, diaphoresis, or nausea,
particularly if they have had the treatment performed on an empty
stomach, Chemically, Phosphatidyl Choline is the chief component of soy
lecithin and is considered safe as an injectable. Some bruising may
occur, as well as inflammation to the area being treated. This is not only normal, but also necessary to see positive results.
Anti-inflammatory are contraindicated, as the may decrease the
effectiveness of the treatment. A balanced diet as well as
cardiovascular activity is recommended to expedite fat metabolism.
